a Top 10 Online School
Salem International University (SIU) is one of the top 10 online schools in the nation according to the Online Education Database (OEDb). "We're pleased that OEDb ranked us as a top 10 online school," says Nancy Brooks, vice-president of Marketing. "We've worked hard to provide quality programs that students can access anytime from anywhere."
OEDb is a national organization ranks the most significant degree-granting undergraduate online colleges that operate nationally according to its selected criteria. OEDb has reviews of 1,020 programs from 87 accredited online colleges. The criteria includes the following data: acceptance rate, financial aid, graduation rate, peer Web citations, retention rate, scholarly citations, student-faculty ratio, and years accredited.
"Online education is growing but a lack of transparency prevents it from reaching its full potential," the OEDb posted on it's website announcing the rankings. "Even though online colleges are now receiving increased respect from top employers, diploma mills and the like limit the prestige of a legitimate online degree."
Salem's online campus is located in Carmel, IN. Salem's online programs include Business Administration, and Information Technology.
Salem International University is a private, for-profit institution of higher learning that's accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association and the West Virginia State Board of Education.
